Setting Up A New Website or Restructuring An Existing Website
Whether you are setting up a brand new website or restructuring an existing one that has not been fulfilling its true potential, the main objectives are usually the same.
You want to raise your profile and attract more relevant visitors – people who stay longer, return more often and are more likely to recommend you to others.
You want to increase conversion rates, whether that means turning website visitors into enquiries, enquiries into bookings, or enquiries into actual sales.
You want to reduce admin time and overheads by giving customers clear, useful and up-to-date information online, rather than having to answer the same questions manually or send out printed material by post.
You want to build confidence and loyalty with customers, suppliers and anyone else who interacts with your business.
AI now adds another important dimension to this. A successful website is no longer just about having attractive pages online. It needs to be clear, well structured, useful, easy for visitors to navigate, and easy for Google and other AI-driven systems to understand. It also needs to support customers more actively, rather than simply expecting them to browse static pages and work everything out for themselves.
That is where AI can help. We use AI tools to analyse existing websites, identify missing or outdated content, review page structure, improve wording, assess search opportunities, compare competitors and highlight where improvements are needed. This helps us make better-informed decisions and carry out the work more thoroughly and efficiently.
We can also add a customised AI Chat Assistant to your website, giving visitors instant answers, guiding them to the right information, capturing better enquiries and reducing the amount of repetitive admin your team has to deal with. Used properly, this turns the website from a static brochure into a more useful, interactive and responsive part of your business.
Where many creative web design agencies focus mainly on showing off their design abilities, we think it makes more sense to explain everything in plain English and in a logical order.
Before we start talking about design, functions and specific features, it is essential to understand how a successful website really works. That means understanding how potential customers arrive at your website, what they are looking for, what reassures them, what puts them off, and what encourages them to take the next step.
There are also a number of key fundamentals involved in setting up and managing any successful website. These include structure, content, search visibility, mobile usability, speed, security, clear calls to action, accurate information, ongoing updates and practical support. We explain what these are, why they matter, and how AI can now help improve them.
Once those fundamentals are understood, we can then focus on setting up a brand new website or restructuring an existing one. In essence, the destination is the same – a clearer, more effective, better performing website. The only difference is the starting point.
We can cover everything from registering a domain, setting up mailboxes, creating the right design for your business and budget, hosting your website, adding or migrating content, improving search engine visibility, integrating AI where appropriate, training your AI Chat Assistant, and providing ongoing support.
You can also see many examples of websites we host and manage throughout our own website.
Even if you do not end up using our services, you will know more than you did before. You will have a clearer understanding of what makes a website successful, how AI can now support that process, and what practical steps are needed to make your own website work more effectively.
Understand How A Successful Website Actually Works
This is the mental journey that customers undertake and the factors they – consciously and sub consciously – take into consideration when assessing you. This is how a successful website works:
The Key Fundamentals
Every website should include a number of key fundamentals.
Our Typical Website Set Up Service
We create a responsive, mobile friendly design for your website by adapting one of our existing templates to suit your individual style and colours. (In effect, we keep costs down by using the same robust chassis to which we can then add any make, model or colour of car).
We upload this to our cloud hosted web platform, with its easy to use content management system, and then create your site structure and add initial pages to the menu system.
We upload initial content from you, which can either be new content supplied by you, or migrated from your existing website. Where relevant we’ll tidy it up, and re-organise it, and then we’ll show you to add content yourself.
We check your page titles, descriptions and general content, and ensure your site content is properly optimised for the search engines.
