We believe it is vital to know your situation before you start. You wouldn't go into battle without having a clue about the numbers you were facing or how they were armed. Although some consultants appear to pull this information out of a hat, from our experience, the only way of doing it so it means anything is to do it thoroughly. That means understanding your objectives and taking time to research the best way for you to achieve them. This takes time and experience which does incur costs. Do you want to invest money based on guesswork, or based on facts?
We charge £15 plus VAT pa to register a .co.uk and £20 plus VAT pa to register a .com. You can register your own domains for much less elsewhere and providing you know what you are doing, we are fine with that. However, most businesses take the view that its more cost effective for us to register, renew and manage their domains for them than to waste hours and hours whilst they try and remember their login details and get to grips with whatever control panel their domain host provides them with. Are you that desperate to save £5 on a domain registration?
Setting Your Web Site Up and Ongoing Support
Building your own website from scratch yourself is really not a route we'd recommend going down. It will take you ages, and you’ll get frustrated, and even if you do manage to set a web site up, there will be loads of things you are not going to have done properly. You’ll just be thrilled you’ve actually got something up there! Support is normally very [and frustratingly] limited with the giants, and your online future ends up in the hands of a young kid who understands technology but doesn't understand YOUR business. It’s not a route to go if you really want a firm foundation from which to build.
And if you do decide to employ someone to build your website for you, an inexperienced young guy who puts together web sites cheaply but has no understanding of your business, or what you can realistically achieve, is not really going to help you take your business forwards.

Reliable Platforms Cost More Money For A Reason!
We only use the most secure, reliable platforms, and you pay for what you get! Customers don’t like it when their email or web site is down. It costs them business and reflects badly on them. And we don't like wasting time fielding calls from them either. If you spend money on reliable hosting, these issues become a “once in a blue moon” occurrence. We could either employ more staff and use cheaper technology, or employ less staff and use the best there is. The cost to you would be the same, but instead of spending time helping and supporting businesses as they develop, we’d spend our time fixing issues. You wouldn’t be happy and neither would we!
Realistically it boils down to whether you think your web site and email is important enough to spend a bit more on it each year. If you don’t mind glitches and downtime, stay as you are! Reliable, easy to use platforms can pay for themselves within a few months, simply through the time and man hours saved. We also can’t understand organisations that use volunteers to edit their sites but then don't give them the easiest modern tools on the market to use. It’s like volunteering to cut a friend’s lawn and being given a set of shears to do it!
