Google is ranking responsive, mobile friendly sites higher than non responsive sites

The latest news from Google is that they are focussing on giving better rankings to websites that follow good ‘mobile compliant’ practices.

In short, if your website is a responsive, mobile friendly design, it will be ranked higher – and if it isn’t your website will be ranked lower.

Google’s official blog post says: “To improve the search experience for smartphone users and address their pain points, we plan to roll out several ranking changes in the near future that address sites that are misconfigured for smartphone users.”
