Hosting your Domain
Once you have registered a domain, it has to be made live in order for you to use the permanent e-mail and web addresses that a domain entitles you to use [ie secretary@yourgolfclubname.co.uk and www.yourgolfclubname.co.uk].

You can't be doing business if your e-mail or web address is down and therefore reliable Domain Hosting and Management is essential. We provide THREE options, each designed to suit the individual requirements of our clients.

Basic Hosting: £65 plus VAT per annum

• Set up of ONE e-mail account such as info@yourdomain [either as POP3 account or forwarding to an existing e-mail address] with spam and virus protection.
• Web page created for you with basic info, logo, image and contact details at no extra cost.

This service is designed to at least get you up and running and using your domain, even if you are still some way away from wanting to establish a “proper” web site. It means that you can at least place your domain details on letterheads, brochures and adverts, and notify directory entries of your details without worrying that they will ever change. When you are ready to establish a “proper” web site, or want to set up more e-mail accounts, everything is in place to do so, and you will just pay the difference on either Domain Management Service when you upgrade:

Basic Domain Management Service: £295 plus VAT per annum

• Domain hosting with control panel to create up to 20 e-mail accounts @yourdomain
• ONE e-mail account with spam and virus protection [this is normally the generic one you promote on web sites - additional spam/virus protected accounts cost £25 plus VAT per annum]
• 5 page web site with choice of styles and colours and up to 10 different page templates
• Content management system that enables you to edit your own pages and add up to 10 new ones
• Basic hit counter
• Basic site optimisation and submission to leading search engines, including Google.
• Shop upgrade for maximum of 50 products with cart and secure server for additional £250 plus VAT pa
• Creation of your site for an additional “one-off” cost from as little as £250 plus VAT
• Training on how to update your site and ongoing telephone support

Standard Domain Management Service: £475 plus VAT per annum

• Domain hosting with control panel to create up to 20 e-mail accounts @yourdomain
• ONE e-mail account with spam and virus protection [this is normally the generic one you promote on web sites - additional spam/virus protected accounts cost £25 plus VAT per annum]
• 15 page web site with choice of styles and colours and up to 20 different page templates
• Content management system that enables you to edit your own pages and add up to 100 new ones
• Hit counter with full history and page breakdowns
• Basic site optimisation and submission to leading search engines, including Google.
• Shop upgrade for maximum of 500 products with cart and secure server for additional £350 plus VAT pa
• Creation of your site for an additional “one-off” cost from as little as £500 plus VAT
• Training on how to update your site and ongoing telephone support

Regardless of the package you choose, we create your first e-mail account associated with your domain for you [ie secretary@yourgolfclubname.co.uk] and ensure that it is hooked up and working in conjunction with your current dial up access. This means that although you will still be able to receive e-mail addressed to any current e-mail addresses supplied with your current dial up package [ie yourname@marketing.prestel.co.uk], from now on you will only need to promote and use your permanent domain e-mail addresses. We then provide you with a control panel to create additional e-mail aacounts yourself, or we can manage this for you on an ongoing bureau style basis. Although optional, we strongly recommend that you subscribe to our spam and virus protection service.

[NB: For the technically minded who don't need to use a content management system, our Starter Service can also be upgraded to include a control panel for e-mail along with ftp access to 10mb of Linux server space for your web site, complete with CGI bin, Frontpage extensions and server stats.]
