Content Management Systems
Although it's a good idea to get someone to create a professional looking site for you, it is vitally important that you are able to update your own site on a day to day basis. Your web site should be an up to date statement of your business as it stands TODAY.
Our content management system enables us to make sites look really bespoke with drop down menus and all sorts of innovative options, but at the same time, it’s incredibly easy for anyone to edit even if they don't have any html skills.
Don't under-estimate the amount of time that it takes to actually update a site - it really can be a labour of love; and it needs to be if customers are going to use your site properly and take your business seriously.
In addition to basic text editing and the option of copying and pasting from Excel or Word, upoloading images and being able to position them where you want them, you can upload PDFs, use photo galleries or slideshows, and we also have the option for you to have password protected areas and include a very detailed site statistics package that tells you everything from the number of visitors right through to which sites they have come from, what key words they used to find you and what time of day they visited you.
We create a template - or skin - for your web site, add content for you and then show you how to edit and manage your web site. You do NOT need any web design or html skills. We train you using our innovative new on-line video demonstrations and are always here at the end of the phone to help you if you need it.
Costs for the basic content management system start from £405 plus VAT per annum if you want to keep your domain where it is and simply want to point your A Record to us. If you need us to host your domain as well, we charge an additional £140 plus VAT, making a total of £545 plus VAT.
E-Commerce Content Management System
Our new on-line shop system is the easiest shop system we have ever seen! You simply add a category [if you want to have categories] and then add a product along with a price, description and any options [size, colour etc] required. If these options affect the price, you simply add the difference in price to the option. You then upload an image for each product if you need to. If it is plus VAT, you just tick a box. That’s it!
If you have an existing shop site, we should be able to re-upload your products into the new system en masse, although there may be some tidying up and checking involved, and of course any images will need to be manually added.
You then choose whether you want to process your orders using your own terminal as card holder not presents, or whether you want to process your orders real time by hooking up with a universal payment gateway such as PayPal, Google, HSBC or others.
The shop can either be stand alone, or can be integrated into your existing web site.
When customers place an order, they have to “join” your shop and insert an email address and a password. This helps prevent fraud and also means that regular customers’ details are on file. They just have to insert their card details each time they place an order.
The cost for the shop upgrade is £250 plus VAT per annum, plus any related production charges involved in setting your shop up. These can be from a few hundred pounds.
